keep the 904 or get a th400? or 727?

So Now that I am going to have issues with the 904 should I keep it 
or buy the th400 thats attached to the 401 Im buying?
Its a 4x4 th400 so I dont know what I'll have to do to get it turned 
into a 2wd but its cheap and works pretty good.

I dont know what the condition of the 904 is in my gremlin, I was 
told "It shifted fine when I drove it" I can get a 727 if need be I 
just dont wanna pay through the nose to rebuild it since I swiped all 
my money for the gremmy.

Thoughts?
