[Amc-list] gooey stuff what the heck is that?

Morning people,

I got all the A/C stuff out of the green one.
I disassembled the under dash A/C box and checked 
the parts out, everything would appear as rebuildable.
Question: What is that gooey stuff that is covering the 
tubes going into the coil and the expansion valve?
I understand it's to keep condesation from dripping all over,
but what is that stuff and where have you guys gone to for the stuff
to replace it?
