That is a narrow band O2 sensor. It is most useful right around a
stoichiometric mixture (14.7:1 for gasoline) because its output is
highly non-linear. Wideband O2 sensors require a complex drive
circuit; the principle actually measures the current required to keep
the test cell in balance, rather than the actual output of the
sensor. The Innovate LM-1 is a pretty good unit. The TechEdge
<http://www.techedge.com.au/> products out of Australia are based on
a do-it-yourself project, but have had considerable development since
the original DIY-WBo2 unit.
