I don't think it's a mistake to have matching new drums. It's
front brakes, dead critical. They'll wear at the same time,
you'll do both at the same time instead of twice as often doing
one brake!

I imagine you're learning a lot about how brakes work and what's
important, there's no better way to know what's right than to
do what's wrong, figure it out, and fix it!

Persistence is 90% of the job. In the last couple a months it's
clear from your posts you've come a long way.
