You can do them with a screwdriver, several beers, and a lot of swearing; but you really need the second tool on this page:

You can even still use the beer when using the right tools.  Just be sure to stop at one twelve-ounce; otherwise you might end up connecting the brake to the accelerator pedal like all those Audi owners did.
