Re: [Amc-list] Trannie's - con't

Simple answer.
The adapter I have is for a nailhead Turbo 400 to a gen I v8.
If I can get yet one more adapter for the nailead engine to any assorted o/d trans I can theoretically build or put said o/d trans against the Gen I v8.
The next question in said series of questions is, Will I ever drive said Convertible enough for all this to be worthwhile having one more gear?
My current response to that last question is, There's no way in H#!! that this is likely to occur.
Circling me back to the turbo 400 will do fine as-is.

Besides which, I'm thinking the Ambassador may end up being my "keeper" tow rig...

Letting me sell off the Dakota in the next few yeasr and get some frugal little car to beat about in.

What would not be cool about towing boats, cars etc; behind a big ole long wheelbase Ambassador ragtop :]

No o/d needed... nice, but not needed...
