Jerry, I have a question that i can't get answered so I thought to ask you. 
I am swapping from drum to disc brakes on my '74 one owner Gremmie and want 
to know if I can use a master cylinder from a manual disc system, say from a 
hornet? The power booster just sticks the cylinder so far out into the engins 
compartment.

Hal, there's probably no reason a non-power master cylinder can't be used, 
other than space consideration, and although I'm more used to Chevrolet in 
this area, as the MC's fit the firewall and power unit both. I've never in 
"real life" TRIED to look for any differences between the MC's on a power or 
non-power car on an AMC, but I don't think they're redesign it just for that 
purpose. I believe there IS plenty of room in front, so the MC shouldn't have 
changed between power and non-power use, only the length of the brake lines 
to reach it. So yes, you can go ahead and put the non-power MC on the power 
unit. Nothing inside the MC like the proportioning valve should be different, 
either. Bolt on with confidence if you already have one! :)
