Hi, I'm new to the list and am currently gremlinless, but have had several
in the past. A 1970-my first new car, a couple of 1973s, and a '78. The
traction of a gremlin is really helped by keeping the gas tank full. The
difference between a full 20 gallon tank and an empty one is about 170
pounds, and the tank is right (if I remember, correct me if I'm wrong)
behind the rear axle. Also rubber in the tires tends to harden as it gets
older, on snow & ice old tires just slide, even if there is plenty of tread
left.
I'd like to buy a nice Gremlin. I'm in AMO but they don't seem to show up
in the For Sale newsletter very often. Where is a good place to look? I'm in
Nebraska, but travel (driving) fairly often to New England and San Diego,
which takes me through the states in between. Can pay about Value Guide
price, and I actually do have the money. Leads appreciated. Now I'm going to
try and post this, see if I do it right.
