Well finally got the 360 out of the Gremlin....it is now awaiting its
new bullet.....waiting to get the crank back from
the balance shop and the pistons and rods assembled....should get both
tomorrow.....has taken a lot more time
than I thought it would.... anyway....I am getting close to putting the
new engine together......
All the 360 exterior parts are going on the 401.....so I will be tearing
it down in the morning....going to do a valve job
on the heads.....They have been ported some already....with SS
2.08I/1.68 E valves....and milled around .035.....
The 401 short block will of course have the factory forged
crank/polished rods and 30 over Speed-Pro 2380
forged pistons...CR will be around 9.8 to 1.....I kept the CR on the low
side because this may become a street cruiser
motor in the AMX in the future......
My plan is to have it up and running by the middle of next
week.......ready for Test & tune on the 21st and
the first Club race on the 27th.....
