Jim, I am just about ready to put my 401 back together also and it 
sounds like you are going with the same parts as I did on the 
block/pistons. My cam set up, I went with the comp cams magnum 292 
kit with roller rockers. SS valves also. Edelbrock torker W/Edelbrock 
780 carb.I have not done any research on the distributor yet, need to 
do that.
