I agree, and while some frown on this, I have redone over a dozen thru the years. And almost all were salvage cars, although two the original owners died and if you think FEMA line is long, try DMV to get a old car retitled, tons of red tape. Many of the cars I have parted out I saved the titles just for that purpose. So another car can live down the road. I won't bother getting into a ethical debate either over it, everyone will have a opinion on it one way or another! I also just sold a 68 AMX title to a fellow who bought a AMX rotting in a field, no title, so stuff happens. Some vendors on my vendors list sell titles, complete with dash number and door tag for $500-$750, depending on rarity of the AMX. There have been sC/360, Rebel Machine titles, all of what some of us deem collectible, for sale.
