Sorry I don't. Like everything else AMC you just have to look. The 304 came in just about everything AMC made in the 70's. Terry Yahoo! you have an idea where i can get a 304? i dont want to spend more than about 850 if possible. i also know of a few junkyards around here i can look in, they also had 304 in jeeps didnt they?----- Original Message -----Sent: Tuesday, March 28, 2006 7:38 PMSubject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Converting from 2bbl to 4bbl carbWhat V8 you would put in your Gremlin is totally up to you. Most on here will
agree that they would stick with an AMC. Gremlins came with 304 V8 but the 360
and the 401 is basically the same block so it shouldn't be any difference in
putting the engine in the car. Just my 2 cents worth in reality I think the
304 is all you really need for the Gremlin. You will be able to burn rubber,
out run 90% of the cars on the road, it will sound good and look good when you
pop the hood. It would also keep it a little more original. If I was going for
a daily driver that is the way I would go. I can also see where since it
wouldn't be any more work why not drop a 360 or a 401 in it. While I think in
reality a 304 is all you need I can see where a built 401 would be one hell of
a ride. I think the 401 is a bit of overkill for something you going to drive
back and forth to work but a weekend cruiser, something to drive to car shows,
the strip it might be the way to go. I think you are going to have decide what
you are going to do with the car and how much you want to spend. No wrong or
right answer here.
