When I got the cam I didnt ask about springs. Im no performance engine builder So If I ask a dumb arse question just turn a blind eye. I have no Idea what the heads really are other than what the guy I got it from tells me. I bought it under the understanding that the engine was 9.5. Under casual conversation with the guy that helped him install it he told me that the paperwork stated 8.5 CR. He's positive because he ordered the same engine part# and all. So, Its 8.5 And for right now I just want to run it but bump it up a tad to make it a runner. Should I junk this cam and go for the 214/224? Im open to suggestions. I have lots of parts just no heads and dont really have the $$ to shell out on machine work. I can get another tamer cam. Summit will let me exchange this cam for the 214/224 no problem. If I do that what should the rest of the setup be? Carb? Intake? Exhaust size? I trust ya if you say the wilder cam will work. But I want it to be driveable cold or hot.
