My understanding of the term orphan is not the mode being discontinued like a Falcon or a Corvair but the manufacturer Ford or Chevy going out of business. The most recent in my mind is Plymouth & Olds. It is amazing how the media can pass on such misinformation to the general public and the average Joe doesn't know any better. Even on TV I have seen some so called automotive experts spout stupid false hoods. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! --- Begin Message ---There was an article about orphan cars in yesterday paper. It was an AP article so some of you might have seen it too. I was expecting to read about AMC's, Studebakers and the like. It did mention them but a whole lot of the article was about Falcons and Corviers. I thought orphan cars the manufactors were no longer in existance. According to this thing any car that was no longer made was an orphan car. That would mean my Cougar is an orphan. What do you guys think.
