I understand what you are doing Doc. I thought the first guy who started the post said that when he had his car painted the body shop just mask off his door panel and painted that piece of metal on the inside of his door. I was just wondering why you would have them paint that piece when they were painting the outside of your car. Unless I had the interior completely out of my car I wouldn't want a guy with a spray gun close to it. Then again if you do it right I guess that is how they paint the door jams. I guess I am just thinking out loud.
