Yes I have noticed the same thing. I have been to car shows and swap meets and around here it seems the ugly color cars did not get driven much. A few years ago I found a 64 Pontiac (lemans or tempest) with low miles and it was a ugly gold brown color. It was also supposedly from California. That is another thing. How many old cars are out in California? That seems to be the big thing in northern IL or southern WI. I looked at a few cars this year and if they came from the south or the west it had to be 10 or 20 years ago. My 77 Gremlin had 50000 some miles on it. I believed it because it had original paint and was never messed with. It just looked possiable. My 71 Matador has about the same mileage. You would never guess it though. I bought it from the original owner and it sat outside since it was new. It runs good. It sat outside this last winter with battery in it and it started right up after sitting for 5 to 6 months.
