With the apperent rareity of this paticular emblem I wasen't about to
let it get away. I won't say what my max bid was but that emblem was
mine and I had the max bid cash in my pocket. Besides I needed this
emblem for my original Hornet. I never tell my wife what I pay for
things on eBay and never ask her what she pays for stuff she buys for
herself. I always have the cash in my pocket I save up for mad money
that I use. If the item I am bidding on gets to be more than I am
willing to pay I pass on it. But this was not one of those times.

Been there........done that! I have had a couple of winning bids that other 
may have considered high (specially the wife), but I was happy with the 
outcome.
