Yanking the engine. What would you do?

 Im pulling the 304 out next weekend and I wanna run some things by 
you guys that have done it on gremlins before.

Can I pull the engine without pulling the tranny as well? Id rather 
leave it in the car. Also what was the deal with the headers? They 
cannot be mounted before install? Is that correct?

Does anyone know the part# for the 401 flex plate that will fit my 
904? So for the lame questions but i wanna try an get somthing done 
on my days off work.
