Last year alone over $18 million dollars was reported scammed from
Americans. Simply amazing. And no telling how many didn;t report their loss
to authorities for feeling like a idiot!

I never fails to amaze me that there are actually people that stupid to
fall for these con's and actually give out all their private info. My
opinion is that it is just greed and they pay for it with everything
they own.

I live in an small garden apartment building and have a 2 car garage
where the yellow Hornet has spent it's whole 30 years in the same spot.
Sitting next to it is my son's 74 Javelin. The garage next to it is
empty and I am going to see about parking the orange one in there.

I don't have a digital camera but have been taking pictures. They are
mostly before as the only real progress you can see is that the paint
was polished out and it has 4 new BFG T/A Radials. Just about all of the
progress so far has been repairing many years of neglect and poor or no
maintenance by previous owners.

No problem Gary. I enjoyed meeting you and seeing your car. It took the
!@#$%^ judge 1 day short of 2 months to sign the papers after I was
officially notified by mail 2 weeks before that they would be signed on
the 24th of May.
You wonder what we pay these people for. It was a done deal and only
required his signature no reading or anything else. Oh well it is over
with now at last. Thank god.

Subject: Shut Up & Drive/100 AMCs For Sale List #74 July 04

Great time to pick up a AMC vehicle, especially many for sale at national
meets going on this summer. I've told a number of folks if they will be
attending a national this summer to keep a sharp eye out for many of the
great deals, like a few I was going to buy and lost my information on (I
left my notebook at the meet!), but a silver 68 AMX, 343, 4spd for 43200 and
a 71 gree/green SC/360 for $3000 would have found a new home, and a 70 AMX
on a trailer, 360, AT for $3000 found no buyers at a national, so the best
thing about attending these meets is that it is like a AMC car lot and you
can inspect the vehicle on the spot and negotiate with the owner. So happy
hunting, whereever you are looking for a American Motors vehicle, here is a
fresh batch of them for sale. Eddie Stakes

Now to get really rolling on both cars. I still have 7,000$ left out of the 10,000$ I had budgeted out of this settlement to spend. First thing is the 2 NOS front fenders for the yellow Hornet. Next is to have the Hurst shifter installed, the front seats reupholstered and the front carpet installed in the yellow Hornet. The orange car gets a new carb, radiator, water pump, timeing chain, fuel tank sender and an Accel Super Coil for now. My father must be rolling over in his grave seeing all the money I am spending on these "old cars" as he always called them. Say AMEN & AMC!!!!!

Thank's Davis. Just cause I got a few bucks dosen't mean I am going to piss it away. I have set aside a budget of 10,000$ for both cars and have already spent 3,000$. I still have the same "Rambler Mentality" that I always have had. It's just when I need or want somthing now I don't have to scrimp and save for weeks or months to buy it. I have lost out on some really good deals price wise because I didn't have the money at the time and when I did the deal was already gotten by someone else. Check S&W Race Cars for a cage. I bought their 8 point for my yellow Hornet and with extra tubeing I bought from them turned it into a 12 point cage of my own design. I believe the original 8 point was 150$ plus shipping. I am waiting to hear from the guy you put me on to about the NOS Hornet fenders. I explaind my situation at the begining of the month and he said he would hold the fenders for me. As soon as he confirms we still have a deal I will send him the money. Thanks again for putting me onto him.
"Doc"

That should be no problem makeing a small detour, most of the big bombing raids are made from B-52's & B-1B's that are based in the states with mid air refueling to fly there and back.

Thanks Bart,
Bill is now a BAG member so that is appropriate. I had it under me cause it was my first AMC I ever bought.
I am having a heck of a time finding a co. local that has the roll bar material I need to build the 5 point for my Gremmie. I found a gut that builds roundie rounds that will bend up the bar for 5 bucks a bend but I can't find the 1 3/4 X .134 tubing. I may end up having to buy the kit from S&W. I was hoping to get it done on the cheap. .120 wall stuff is all over but I run the risk of it being below the NHRA req. .118 min thickness.
SO waddaya think of my frame connectors? I messed up and welded them in passed the leaf spring bolt. Good think I already put the new ones in with the new polly bushings!

Nice job Davis, and you should take measurments of your gremlins inside and then give them to a reputable rollbar/cage maker or Competition Engineering or Chassis or Chris Alston and have em make you up a set.Chassis Enginering did my 4 point for under 200$course i went to Jupiter Fl. and picked mine up so it saved me on shipping since i was only 45 minutes away lol
