I love taking my '62 Rambler Classic 4-door to car shows, and as Armand noted, it is normally the only AMC product there! If I get an award (I do about half the time) I love to watch the faces on all the Camaro and Mustang owners as I walk up to get the trophy. I know they hate it. I just like to be different.....I get 25 miles to the gallon driving to shows.

Just to help dispel the "black spiderman" syndrome, I was at a car show in
ankato, MN two weekends ago, the 70 Javelin won a first place trophy.

o Camaro's were in my class, I picked Domestic class (lots of imports at
his event). The Camaros all picked muscle car class, what the heck, let
hem duke it out.......
elly button versus belly button, ROFL.
and the Javelin was the only AMC there......

 went to the Sierra Vista Car show yesterday with my 71 AMC Javelin. I did
ot win, which I am ok with since there were some very high dollar cars
here. A guy comes along and explained why I did not win a trophy. I had to
ost this because I am pretty sure he was on something and it was just too
unny not to pass along.
He explained that Chevy, Ford, and Dodge are like the RED spiderman, and AMC
s like the BLACK spiderman. He says the majority of people like the red
piderman, and dislike the black spiderman, hence I did not win, and AMC is
he anti hotrod. Dude, lay off the dope for a little while will ya.........
