Oh, I have had better luck with tire service by not going to the "tire" shops like goodyear and firestone. I know a couple of shops that are "safe". They understand we want non stock wheels and tires. Walmart would only mount non stock or one size up from stock unless you do a "carry in" meaning bring the wheels and tires in not on a car. I've had good luck at our local Sears to, go figure. Chain stores vary by locale as to what policies they choose to accept or ignore from the parent company. ------Original Message------ From: JohnBherna@xxxxxxx Sender: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx ReplyTo: AMC, Rambler, Nash, Jeep and family Subject: [AMC-list] BIAS vs Radial tires on rims Sent: Aug 30, 2010 1:04 AM I have a 1967 Rambler Rebel Wagon that I just purchased some used 225/70/14 tires. The tire shop said that I had BIAS rims and pointed to some notches in the rim. They said the radial tires may have leakage later or come off the rim if I hit a curb or other objects. Can someone explain if that is true? Thanks, John -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
