Tom,

The only thing about putting heavy scratchy stuff on top of the wheel wells is it will tear up the trim panels pretty quick.

Cool! A sheet sitting on the wells is fine, even sticking out the tailgate
is fine. It's just a rule of thumb interior measurement. GOOD ENOUGH.
