[AMC-list] Still Sagging

I pulled the front wheels tonight and sanded a spot on each front spring coil then measureed the diameter carefully.  They are indeed "about" .500 in diameter.  The tag on each spring indicates that they are part number 3172894.  I don't have a 65 parts book but the 66 American parts book lists them for the six cylinder with air conditioniong, so they are definitely the heavy springs.  Unfortunately the car still sags on the left side by about 3/4 of an inch.  It's noticeable.  I looked at the left hand spring and there was a rubber spacer between two coils.  I didn't think it would hurt so I knocked it out.   No difference.  Evidently someone heavy owned this car in the past and it started sagging on the left side and they put spacers in the coils on that side to compensate.  It didn't work.  I'm going to order new springs, heavy duty ones at that.
