I have MIG and that is that. I'll likely work out a passive mechanical
retention.

For the roof-warp issue, I figured out that I have room to weld a rib onto
the bottom of the roof plate that should help a lot.

I doubt I'll ever get the manifold hot enough to glow red, even with badly
retarded ignition and running rich. We're talking 600 lbs of cast iron for
what? 140hp wet?
