I'm glad you said that Joe, I didn't have the nerve. The little cars of
course got leftover styling, which I think isn't bad, and the bathtubs are
cute. (The breadboxes, OK they're wierd... but lovable). But 58-61 big cars
are kinda hard to look at in the face, and the fins are all pinchy and
fussy.

The interiors I love though, bright and fun and excessive, but not
excessively excessive (sic).  Those grilles though... whew!

Not to pick on AMC though, that whole era is hard to look at. But we all
have our perverse tastes, I'll be the first to admit, and I'm sure there are
people who just love them for all that chromey detail. It is something
unique, that's for sure! Unlikely to be repeated in any era.

And the greenhouses, AMCs big cars are the best looking above that beltline,
few American cars rival it. wrapped glass, reversed C pillar, hardtop
wagons! etc. Truly beautiful.
