So what we are all agreeing on is that the 67 was the only American line available with anything larger than a 290 from the factory except the 69 Scrambler....I have an X code 67 also, it just didn't register with me before that 343's were not available in the 68 and 69's. my first AMC was a new 1968 Rogue 290/4bl 4spd.....I think Joe is right

343/290 .. 1967 .. R
290 .. 1968 .. R .. no 343
290 .. 1969 .. R
390 .. 1969 .. SC/Rambler

a guy in PA has a 67 Rogue 343/ 4spd he bought new....
