You are correct. X in 67 is 343. X in 69 is S/C. Otherwise you get 290.

So what we are all agreeing on is that the 67 was the only American line 
available with anything larger than a 290 from the factory except the 69 
Scrambler....I have an X code 67 also, it just didn't register with me 
before that 343's were not available in the 68 and 69's. Thanks guys!
