Nolan, I think the rear end width for all Hormet, Gremlin, Concord bodies is the same. I have an AMC 20 (V8) Hornet rearend here in Salinas, and a 6-cylinder concord rearend (sans one backing plate and drum). If your friend cannot get that junkyard rear, I would give him the Concord rear. I'd want $200 for the V8 rear. BTW, a person on the AMC forum was looking for a 73 Hornet power brake booster. I don't know if he found one. He said it was a unique part, so your friend may want to pull it if that Hornet has power brakes.
