After hearing about the trans issues from you and Tom, I always figure the soft clutch was on purpose.
Old school trick to allow the light duty trans to live behind an engine slightly to powerful for it, yeah the 196.5!

With the soft clutch, even a high school students right foot to the floor, pop the clutch stupidity won't break the trans!

Uh, I know this how you wonder?

I, um, heard it, yeah, that's it.  Someone told me all about it.......
