Greetings Gang! I was just outside on this beautiful day having my daily dose of disabledtruck. Checked the sensors which are voted 'most likely to succeed' in doing this: ALL check out with correct inbound and outbound voltages. Includes, of course, the TPS. Grounded everything to everything else with JumperCables just to be sure everyone was 'talking' to everyone else with no resistance loss thru crappy grounds. Not a bit of change at all. So I'm left with: Truck starts and idles instantly. Put in gear, you get the 'ingearthunk'. (you know the AT has fluid and is 'ready' to go. Step on accelerator and... Wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. It kind of screws up the idle, but wont get any faster than the 'in gear' idle and won't move. Shoot carb cleaner down the throttle-opening and.. *Its ALIVE, It's Alive!!* And..it does sound like 175 rarin' to go horses. Cut the cleaner, and they 'Dodge' right back into the stable. And folks wonder why I prefer the Old Rambler?? At this point, I'm inclined to believe the ECU/PCM (or is that PCM/ECU?) has, ummm, 'Gone South'. How specific are these ECU's? Apparently it has to be.. 1996 Dodge RAM1500 3.9 V6 Automatic Trans White paint Blackwall tires. (is that correct? Did I miss anything?) I AM tired of this game.
