I never thougt of tht obvious detail!

For the early 232, there's one one crank butt. Manual or auto trans 
bolts to it. It's basically flat on the end -- same as the Nash "manual" 
  crank butt.

A 195.6 crank with that lump on the end -- I will see what happens when 
you fit a manual flywheel and clutch to one with the lump. But worst 
case, the lump can be machined off.

And will fit on any Nash pattern crankshaft I bet, certainly will fit on 
the AMC/Nash crank butt.
