Looking at the car, it is not a conours correct 100 point show car by any means but very nice driver/show car I would say.  The description does say it has factory rally pak which I don't see in the pictures only AC vents.  The stuff on the trunk I think Marc was referring to is the factory glue/seam adhesive that is typical on the deck lid.  There is a slight crack in the rear center reflector and possible one of the holding tabs broken but you can get repros of that.  I would want some close up more detailed pictures of the chrome, stainless trim, interior and underside of the car.  Would also ask about previous body work.  There is also some very basic detail work that you could do that could easily step it up a notch at a very minimal cost.
 
Over all, for the money being that it is a real 390 4spd car (by the VIN #), not a bad deal.  If you were in the market for one, I don't think you will get hurt with this car unless the pictures are hiding some real sins.

All,
I am looking to buy a '68 - '70 AMX 390 4spd that is in the $25k range.  I
currently have two AMX's that will need a little TLC and am considering
selling them due to time constraints.  I would like to buy an AMX already
restored.  I frequently watch Ebay and a few other sites for cars and saw a
nice looking '69 on Ebay.  It has the roof spoiler which I am not sure was
an option for the AMX.  I know they came on the Mark Donahue Javelins but
haven't seen one on the AMX.  Was this an option?  If not does it reduce the
value or desirability of the car?  What do you guys think about this car?
