This is a good point! Look at the 195.6 (either of them!), then the 
cast-iron-intake 232; then the 81-up aluminum manifold, then 4.0. 
Breathing, breathing, breathing. From ad hoc, to designed with care. 
Bottom end was a no brainer for that application.
