Just remember if asking about the Ford that they called it "CFI" (Central Fuel Injection) instead of TBI. The GM computers are pretty much worked out, that's the main reason for using a GM. If a custom chip is needed for fine tuning it's not a problem at all. I'd recommend trying the Renault system from a 1.4/1.7 Alliance, but they use a crankshaft position sensor like the Jeep Renix system -- notched flywheel also acts as an engine speed sensor. Would be tough to duplicate!

does it have to be gm?  i've heard that holley actually made most of
the systems, and supposedly there's a 4-cyl ford tbi with the same
flange as the yf.
