The problem I have with the car doing everything is that we are growing a bunch of idiots, who can't think for themselves. Oregon stopped requiring knowledge of parallel parking some years ago and as a result you should see people try to PP. I was watching one gal try and she did about a dozen manuevers, and still she was a foot into traffic. Laws are being passed against doing anything in your car except drive, and it is because cars are automatic and self adjusting these days. If the least little thing goes wrong, no one knows what to do.
My mom is as far away from a car person as anyone, but she grew up in a time of no automatic anything, and even now at the age of 80 she knows more about cars than your average 20 years old male.....Russ
