[Amc-list] if cam related.....

If I did manage to destroy my cam. Is it worthwile to get an aftermarket cam that doesn't require changing things such as valve springs, exhaust, and carb?

To go after market will cost me roughly $50 more. Would going from .381 to .416 lift gain me much? ("milage" comp cam) Assuming this is possible without changing the valvesprings (I still have to check when they will bind) My only attempt at an aftermarket cam was in a 360 and it was a turd, so I need some advice here too.

Thanks
Andy
