Re: [Amc-list] 'I could of had a *V8*'

I have the '80 Eagle front axle (with common in XJs 3.08 ratio to match an XJ rear axle into an Eagle I was going to build) $50. Also have the exhaust manifolds complete with AIR pipes from a '77 Wagoneer. (left side changed in '80 to clear the front driveshaft, but AFAIK, the RH is the same still)

Putting a V8 into an Eagle requires that the front diff
be a non ' shift on the fly ' version > from a 1980 Eagle.

Eagles got the 'shift on the fly' version in 1981 - it has
a 'bump' on the housing that will hit the pan rail of the
engine block - so you'll want a Full Time 4wd front diff.

I'd then get a set of the Bulltear.com 6 to V8 swap mounts
to work with.

Check the 'Flying with V8 Eagles' article for the other
parts required - like the passanger side 'Log' style
exhaust header from a V8 Grand Wagoneer.
