If I'm not mistaken (you have the 24V DOHC with variable induction, right?),
this is the infamous "sludge motor" that got such a nasty self-destruction
reputation a few years ago
Thanks Steve.. thats some interesting information. I believe that your right 
about the 24V DOHC, but I am not sure about the variable induction. It is a 
just a BLAST to drive on the freeway as it does spin quite nicely to about 
6.5 on the ol' tach. I bought this car used but with only 12,000 on the 
clock I did get a good deal for 14,500. I was able to tell that it did come 
from a rental place, but I am not sure which one though. It does have all 
the little "service" stickers on the inside of the drivers door. The latest 
one is telling me that it needs to be done at 15,000 miles. So, I know that 
it was serviced properly, or atleast I hope it was! I think I will change 
the oil and will put a good quality synthetic in it...just to be safe!
