Re: [Amc-list] 195.6 OHV

The 40 on top of the piston most likely is 0.040" over... that was a
common size for the 195.6, apparently. When I rebuilt my last one that
was the only oversize NAPA could find in the southeast, and they told me
back in 95 or so that I got the last complete set in the warehouse
system. I told them to look for 0.030, but even 0.060 would do (the
older blocks will go 0.125 over, 63-65 "only" 0.080 over). 0.040s seem
to be the common stock, L-head or OHV. The long stroke means there's
usually wear in the bottom of the bore. My 190K+ L-head barely had a
discernable ridge at the top thanks to the little extra nickel in the
iron, but the bottom was wore 0.020.
