You can run [to lpg,cng,lng, etc;] but, you can't hide!!!
Your only buying time. It's all going to cost about the same in the end, until it ends.
Doesn't really matter what scenario you see coming either. It's the one that actually shows up that will get us! Maybe....................... :]
 
  Now, where are we, oh, yeah the AMC-LIST!!!! 4 more days of OT and then finally a break!!!
If I can get out from under all the gloom and doom of all the stuff that needs done and my shoulder holds up maybe, just maybe I'll get something done.
  I've been looking at valve choices. 
4.0L looks like a very interesting possibilty for valves and ofr real irony the cheapest place I have found new valves is HESCO!!! Go figure! I'm not settled in on that valve choice yet though.
  Doing the math if you add two cylinders to a 4.0L it comes up to 322 cu in! Pretty darned close to a standard bore 327! But I'm not positive that the 4.0L valves are perfect. The exhaust on the 4.0L is right in the 1.5" range head, larger than the 1.406 of the stock 327. But Chevy 1.60" valves are easiliy available and a real close match too.
  
  Right now, I guess I'll just keep sleeping on it as I need to get some other stuff done first. A good shop with some knowledge of performance work is probably the first step to find. Get them to take a look at the heads and see what they think. I know that basically they are boat anchors, but there has to be some room for improvement without killing them!
