Jeff's right, personally I usually respond to anything I know enough to contribute to, especially if it looks like someone's dead-on-the-side-of-the-road. Also, on machine shops -- there's good shops that know how much to 'mill from a chebby manifold' because they memorized it or have it written down or someone told them, and there's good (better) shops that know HOW TO FIGURE IT OUT. Pretty much, anyone who pulls the "FORD OR CHEVY?" thing on you is at best the latter. They usually screw things up when they don't already know the answer, and blame the weird part/car/motor/owner. Avoid those :-)
