Actually, Jerry, there WAS a 1970 Maverick. The Maverick debuted in 1969 as a 1970 model. The Pinto debuted in 1970 as a 1971 model. Motormax Fresh Cherries series... To: AMC-List <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Hey, guys, want a REALLY rare diecast car? ROFL! You aren't gonna believe this ( then maybe again, it's MOtormax, so you could ). I was at Wal-mart last night traveling home, and found a new 1/64th Series by Motormax, called Fresh Cherries.plastic blister packs, they have a '77 Mustang, '70 Maverick, and '70 Pinto. Now, what's wrong with the above descriptions??? There IS no such thing as '70 Pintos and Mavericks, they all came out in '71!!!! Sold in Sept 70, obviously, but '71 models, whereas the Gremlin was a definite '70 model , 1/2 year. Maybe these models will be collectible from that standpoint? Heh heh! Hey, I just noticed something on teh back of the package - its a disclaimer which says AMC is a Trademark of DaimlerChrysler, so that MUST mean they're gonna make some AMC models, too! WOOHOO! I gotta look online to see if they're listed somewhere. They're already making the 1/24th Gremlin, so Hot diggity! See ya! <zoom!> Jerry ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
