You know, thinking about this a little (but not doing any math!), I think the intake needs half the distance taken from the head taekn from each intake surface. So if the head is milled 0.700", each side of the intake would need 0.035" taken from it. Come to think of it, I may have read that in some tech info for AMC somewhere. Someone more up on their geometry would have to figure that one out! Basically you're working with an upside down triangle. Reduce the length of each leg and how much shorter does the base (or in this case, top) need to be -- proportionately? See, I can graphically set it up for you, now someone needs to figure out the mathematical formula!!
