you're right about the strength of cylinders vs. boxes, but iirc these
tanks have extensive internal curved bracing.  they don't hold as much
lpg as a regular tank would gas.  and you're right about venting too.

1. lpg is under pressure, but -way- less than the gases you mention,
   perhaps 10% or less.  someone mentioned 150 psi; i'm not sure it's
   even that much.

2. don't these tanks have to be certified as safe before they can be
   marketed?  aren't there regulatory standards for this?  afaik
   morons can't just put anything they want up for sale.
