Mark, AFAIK the 196/199/232 used the same diameter ring gear up through 1971... 153 tooth? Anyway, that's the "small" bell housing. In 72 the 232 was bigger, went to the V-8 size bell though. I've got round plates here, should have two or three laying around. Or just take the cracked one and have a shop make you one. > Do they interchange between the 196 and the 232 style engines??? I don't know. I think so. I know the converters are different though. Starter ring is smaller on the 196. 199-232 are the same. > Mark Price > markprice242ATadelphia.net > Morgantown, WV ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
