2nd test drive not much better...missing persists.

Well, I had to keep my foot on the gas, to keep it running. It idles fine
in Park or Neutral, but put it in gear, and it starts missing. The points had
looked ok, and I don't think it's the carb at this point, once I adjusted the
needle valve, the hesitation it was experiencing disappeared, and she
accelerated like a BOOH down the street! I think maybe the idle RPM could use
upping, and maybe I'll change the fuel filter as well. Also look for vac
leaks but I don't think that's it, as it ran good while out of gear. Could
have a little water from the tank in the carb from sitting so long, who
knows. I'll tinker with it tomorrow. But at least she's not leaking in the
driveway, and she stops good now! Feels good cruisin' down the road in a
Gremlin. Although I noticed the hood seemed awfully high, like it was sitting
up in the front. ( or sagging in the rear, oh no! ) Maybe I'm just used to
modern cars with tapering hoods, as the Gremlin has a pretty flat hood. But I
think I'll like the experience driving it. :) One down, 6 Gremlins to go...
:)
