Hi All,
Thought the list went bust, glad to see there is life out there!!!
Anyway - that is the beauty of the AMC V8, If all you are doing is a
basic rebuild on any size motor - the cost is the same. You don't run into
more money until you get into a 401 and start replacing pistons, rods,or
cranks.
SOOOO - the more cubic inches the better! If the engine stays relatively
stock the trans will take it just
fine. -------------------------------------Vik Butvila 1974 Gremmie X

The rebuild kit for the 360 is considerably cheaper than for the 304...odd as it may seem. When it came time to transplant my gremlin, I opted for the 360 and am quite pleased....for a great deal on a rebuild kit, go to www.naparts.com and request a free catalog.
Good luck

Hi all Gremlin Grandma (blair.macdougall@xxxx) Well it was finnally nice to hear that this group is still alive. There had been no news since April 4 and I was beginning to think that we were off the map.
Well I want to tell you all about my little confrontation with a Datsun. One morning I decided that I wanted to buy some pansies, so I got my little Gremlin out of the garage and off I went to the store. Well, I got the pansies and started home. I came to a red light and in our state you can turn on the RED light if nothing is coming. I stopped as you should do before turning and the arrow was green for a left turn across the road. I waited and then made a right turn on red, well first thing I knew I looked up and this person instead of going in the lane next to me should cut right in front of me and my bumper caught her rear wheel with an BANG. All I could think of was there goes my little Gremlin. Would you believe that I pushed in her rear wheel and she had to have her car towed. All my green Gremlin received was a scratch on the bumper. So guys do not throw away those steel bumpers if you are redesigning your cars. They are life savers. The officer did not give me or her a ticket, just gave a verbal warning to both of us. She was not a happy camper as the saying goes. She was very rude to me and was upset that the officer did not issue me a ticket, but he said we were both at fault. My happy little Gremlin is resting from her ordeal.
Happy Easter to All, Gremlin Grandma

and here come s this cop car screamin past me and double backs and pulls in
my driveway and he gets out and starts yellin at me then literally frothin at
