I've seen a 1980's Spirit with a 258/5-speed. That should work...though 
this early T5 isn't very strong. Also, many Jeep CJ5's & 7's had the AMC 
258 with a T5 tranny...but that's also set up for 4WD, & not too strong.

A Tremec 5-speed might fit...I suggest calling Tremec & asking.

I'm going the really-expensive-but-really-strong route after blowing up my 
T-10--a Richmond 6-speed.

w/ the transfer case. It does not have the yoke needed for u-joints
that attach to the drive shaft. Good creative idea, but it would take

Another alternative that I've read about is to put a Mustang trans
