The Kenosha show...the Ecstasy and the Agony....

Wow, it was great...I'll remember alot of this event long after my
Alzheimers Disease finally reachs pandemic proportions...I made up a list of
things about The Kenosha Event that hopefully will make you smile and
remember the good times we had ( and laugh about the bad things, like
breaking down on the trip... ) Please feel free to add to this list, as I"m
sure I missed some good ones!

" THE " Kenosha Show : The Agony and the Ecstasy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--

The Ecstasy - meeting all those people face to face that you only know
online, for the first time
The Agony - not remembering half their names or cars after the first few
minutes

The Ecstasy - seeing all those cars on one showfield, and wondering how
you're going to see them all
The Agony - seeing all those cars on the showfield, and KNOW you're not going
to see them all!

The Ecstasy - walking the showfield all day, and never seeing the same car
twice...
The Agony - walking the showfield all day, and you can't ever FIND the same
car twice, as you missed the photo opportunity the first time!

The Ecstasy - hearing all those great AMC stories.
The Agony - trying to REMEMBER all those great AMC stories.

The Ecstasy - Finding so many great AMC parts so reasonable...
The Agony - Trying to pack your Gremlin with all those parts afterwards.

The Ecstasy - Knowing this is a once-in-a-lifetime event and that you're one
of thousands...
The Agony - Watching all the cars leave, and know you'll never see them all
in one place again.

The Ecstasy - Having people drool over your car all day...
The Agony - going thru your 4th pack of towels to wipe the drool off ( again )

The Ecstasy - wearing a silly grin on your face all day long as you walk the
showfield.
The Agony - you were walking around with your fly open all day ( no, not me! )

The Ecstasy - Meeting the women who enjoy AMCs as much as you do.
The Agony - There's not NEARLY enough single women who enjoy AMCs !

The Ecstasy - Knowing you drove your AMC car successfully to this event while
others couldn't.
The Agony - Feeling bad that they couldn't make it in their pride and joy

The Ecstasy - driving your Gremlin around Kenosha...
The Agony - wishing it had been your Gremlin GT instead of one of your other
seven Gremlins.

The Ecstasy - seeing all the cool rare cars and parts you had only heard
of....
The Agony - hearing about all the cool rare cars and parts you missed out on.

The Ecstasy - Scoring a great part for a great price...
The Agony - finding out someone else made a better score for the same thing!

The Ecstasy - Finding a vendor who carries the hard to find part you need....
The Agony - Finding out he just sold the last one he had with him a few
seconds earlier, while you were getting an ice cream.

The Ecstasy - Proudly carrying those swap meet parts to your car...
The Agony - swearing after the 5th trip because the darn car was parked 2
miles away!

The Ecstasy - Dipping your feet in the lake, knowing this may be the only
chance you'll get to do it...
The Agony - Man, are those rocks hard on my tender feet!

The Ecstasy - Watching the sun set on the lake, as AMCs drive by....
The Agony - knowing that the sun has set on the AMC empire, and you'll never
see a new one again

The Ecstasy - Leaving Kenosha, knowing you have made a rare pilgrimage
successfully...
The Agony - Knowing that it can never be this good again.

THE END
