Answer:yes and no,you can use the 6 banger x member buut you'll need to
drill extra holes on the mounting area you can find a V8 xmember from any
70-76 gremlin with a factory V8 any 70-77 Hornet with factory V8,78-79
Concord with factory V8 79 spirit with factory V8 be advised that the engine
mounts themselves are unique to the above cars i mentioned.

Answer:actually any 66-91 AMC V8 will work in your gremlin their identical
externally buut trannys are different 66-71 AMC used Borg Warner autos and
starting in 72 AMC started using Chrysler 727's and 904's and in the jeeps
only AMC also used GMs T400, your best bet is to find a AMC V8 from 72 on up
becuase the BW autos weren't real strong

Answer:that depends on the condition of the engine,i've seen running 360s
outta jeeps go for 150$and a simple rebuilt would cost right at or a lil more
than 1000$ but thats just what i've seen other people may have rebuilt em for
more or less
